Hi there, my name is Mavi and I’ve been living in Augsburg (near Munich) during my childhood. I enjoy getting to know new friends from all over the world, that’s why I have been taking part in several youth exchanges and volunteer experiences. When I was living in Shanghai I became a volunteer for the running up of the Expo 2010. Furthermore I had the opportunity to gain new experiences during my placements in a newspaper agency and a marketing company. At the moment I’m living in the UK where I’m about to finish my diploma. I’m engaged in organizing the pathfinders’ meetings in our community, furthermore I support students in first grade of primary school by offering reading support and doing handicrafts with them. As I enjoy working with little children I help out organizing children’s birthday parties and other events in an arts shop. I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you in August.

Hello, my name is Marina M., I am 21 years old and I live in Dresden where I have studied International Relations since October 2009. I grew up in Kassel, which is quite in the centre of Germany, and finished school in 2008. Afterwards I spent one year in France where I took part in a Franco-German voluntary program. During this time I worked in an institution for handicapped people near Toulouse and really got to love France and the French culture. Fortunately I can take French classes at my university. Moreover I started learning Chinese last year but I am still at the very beginning. In my free time I like hanging out with friends, going on excursions, cooking, reading and doing sports. Additionally I love travelling to get to know new countries and cultures. I am looking forward to this meeting and I am excited to see what is going to happen.

My name is Matthias and I was born on 11th August 1988 in Luckau in the Eastern part of Germany. As the third child of four children, I grew up with my family in Lübbenau, a small city about 100 km in distance of Berlin. After getting my high school degree in June 2008, I had the opportunity of doing a voluntary service in Taiwan. Following Nelson Mandela’s words: “Sometimes it falls upon a generation to be great. You can be that great generation.” I worked in a kindergarten of an orphanage and as an assistant teacher in order to help people in need. After finishing my voluntary service, I decided to continue spending one more year abroad. By studying Chinese and International Relations at Wenzao Ursuline College of Languages (文藻外語學院), I had the possibility of keep on improving my language skills and gaining a deeper insight into the Asian culture. It’s a pleasure of mine to participating in the international youth exchange; I’m looking forward to getting in contact with people from France and China and have an exchange of opinions about current issues. I hope to form new friendships and have a good time! See you soon Matthias,

My name is Katharina and I am a 20 year old girl from Germany. I love to travel, learn new languages and meet people from different cultures. When I finished school one year ago, I decided to go overseas and spend ten month in New Zealand on a Working Holiday Visa. It was an incredible experience and I will always remember this time when I start studying European Business Studies in Aachen at the beginning of October. My dream is to work for the Department for Foreign Affairs, although I know that I will have to work hard to achieve this goal. Apart from studying and travelling I like music and sports. I played piano, the German flute and tennis while I was at school and joined the choir of our church. I also loved to be part of a youth group in our church where we voluntarily work with children organizing regular events, meetings, games and a holiday every year for the kids. I really hope that I am able to continue this work during my studies.

Hello! I am Martin, 21 years old. I am really happy to participate to the French-German-Chinese meeting from OFAJ. I grew up in France, more precisely in a mountainous region with lakes called “Savoie” in the Alps which is close to Italy and Switzerland. Then I moved to Paris to do my secondary school. Now I am following French-German studies in Politics in Lille and Münster, where I am learning to improve the German language and to know Germany. I will finish my course at University next year. I have learned the Chinese language for two years only and I am really impatient to know this culture. My favorite hobbies are practicing sports (cycling, playing hockey and handball, skiing), trekking with friends and surfing on the Internet. At the end of my studies I would like to travel around Europe and its capital cities by bike. This meeting will give me the opportunity to meet young people from other countries, to get to know different cultures and to learn from the other.

Hello, My name is Noémie J. I am now in China, in Beijing where I learnt chinese language during one year. I really enjoy this year spent in China because I was confronted to a very different culture and I learnt a lot through this. Travel and leave in a foreign culture is what I like the most because I can go out from my culture, be confronted to my own culture and so discover myself. I like to meet with new people who have an other way of mind than me and learn from them. I spent six months in germany in a host family with an exchange programm when I was young. Since to this rewarding experiment and this exchange between my own french culture and the german cultur, I was interested by traveling and discover other cultures. I hope that this french-german-chinese exchange will bring me a lot and will complete my knowledges I have about the german and chinese cultures.

My name is L., I come from Germany and I am 20 years old. After graduating from secondary school in 2009 by obtaining a Franco-German Abitur I decided to go to Nantes (France) for one year. I took the chance to do two internships: the first one in a Franco-German Cultural Centre, the second one in the direction for children and youth at the town hall of Nantes. Thus I obtained a first professional experience which was as important for me as the direct approach of the French culture. At the same time I participated as a volunteer in several cultural events: festival of Spanish cinema, festival of arts and environment next to the Loire etc. By volunteering I discovered the different associations of Nantes and their diversity encouraged me to become involved in the most possible projects. With this in mind I look forward to participate in a trinational workshop with other young persons who are volunteering and to discuss about our common and different experiences!

Hello, my name is Marie, I am 18 and i've jsut finishened my final year in abibac S. I will move to Metz in september to study the audiovisual professions wich i'd like to practise. I live in a small town named bar le duc with my brother Nicolas, my sister Clarisse and my parents. I spent 3 years in a dormitory with my schoolfriends in Nancy because of my abibac witch is a special class. That was a great experience even if the rules weren't always easy to follow. I love travelling hanging out. Germany, Spain, schows, friends and so on. I can't stand loosing my time at home with nothing to do and this is sometimes tiring for my firends and family. Since I'm 3 I've played in the sound and light show "des flammes à la lumière" in verdun and in ohter similar shows. I spend lots of week ends there but I love doing this. I meet wonderfull people and it's a real plaisure to work on such projects all together. I can't wait to meet the other participants and to begin our trip. See you soon.

My name is Vincent, i'm 24, and I live 10 km from Melun and 30 km from Paris.
I've lived in Germany, one year in Berlin, more specifically in Prenzlauer Berg, where I have been studying at the "Lycée Français de Berlin" (French College of Berlin) in 1999 - 2000. I also participated in a school trip in 2001 in Dientsenbach, near Frankfort.
By the age of 10, I've effected a tourist trip in China during three weeks, in 1996. I've been able to visit several towns like Beijing, Xian, Hangzhou or even Shangai. Those different trips in my youth gave me the taste for intercultural meetings.
Then, two years ago, with the OFAJ and the french "National Comity of Olympic and Sport", i've participated in doing a survey about the following themes : the organisation of the world cup, and the city of Saint-Denis, consulting people of all nationalities during the Rugby world cup of 2007. Generally speaking, i'm interested a lot in sport, especially Soccer and Tennis.
Therefore, i'm delighted about this new experience and i've been waiting for participating in this french-german-chinese meeting.
