My name is Anne and I am 24 years old. I’m French. I study languages (German and English) at the University of Bordeaux III in France. I just finished my 3rd year and next year, I’m going to Germany to be a high school French assistant. I like to travel and especially in Asia. I have been in India, in Nepal and in Indonesia. I would love to discover the Chinese culture mostly because it’s really different than western culture, so of course really interesting. I have done some volunteering work and I think it’s one of the best ways to travel because you have the opportunity to live in local conditions away from the tourists tours. I also like to play ukulele. It’s an instrument from Hawaï, it’s really easy and sounds like vacation!

Je m’appelle Anne. J’ai 24 ans et suis française. J’étudie l’allemand et l’anglais à l’Université de Bordeaux III. Je viens d’avoir ma licence de LEA et l’année prochaine je pars en Allemagne pour être assitante de français dans un lycée. J’aime voyager et tout particulièrement en Asie. J’ai été en Inde, au Népal et en Indonésie. J’aimerais beaucoup découvrir la culture chinoise principalement parce que c’est une culture radicalement différente de la nôtre ce qui la rend plus intéressante. J’ai participé à quelques chantiers volontaires et je pense que c’est l’une des meilleures façons de voyager car c’est une manière de découvrir la culture locale hors des circuits touristiques. J’aime également jouer du ukulele. C’est un instrument qui vient de Hawaï, très facile et qui apporte une atmosphère de vacances !

I spend my leisure time travelling, learning languages and reading. I am working voluntarily at Aiducation International Deutschland and AIESEC Magdeburg. Aiducation International is a non-profit organization, dedicated to giving people access to education. Founded in 2007, the organization awards merit-based high school scholarships to bright and needy students in developing countries (focus on Kenya). Thereby, donors directly impact individuals and their societies. My dear Participants, I am called Hauke P. and I grew up in a small village situated directly between the German towns of Bremen and Hamburg. I am in age of twenty – if I counted correctly – and after my graduation from school in 2009 I decided to take a gap year which is probably going to end this autumn by me taking up my studies of PPE (Philosophy, Politics & Economics) at a university in England or Germany. One of my greatest hobbies is sports and due to this I am engaged in the Deutsche Triathlonjugend (Youth Organisation of German Triathlon Federation), where we try to bring the benefits of our sports to the children and youth of this country. Furthermore I am concerned with media and press subjects in two of my sports clubs and as well in the youth organisation of a small German party. In general I really like to think and talk about social subjects and I am absolutely looking forward to a relaxed and funny but also productive exchange.

My name is Catharina C. and I’m 25 years old. I currently live in Heidelberg, in the southwest of Germany. In Heidelberg, I study protestant theology in my 8th semester. During my studies, I lived in Dublin, Ireland, for one year in order to study ecumenical studies. I grew up in a rural area between the two cities Oldenburg and Osnabrück in the northwest of Germany. This is where I started my engagement in the Protestant Youth on a regional level. Since 2005, I represent my regional youth on the national level of the Protestant Youth Federation in Germany. In addition, I became an Executive Committee member of the Ecumenical Youth Council in Europe (EYCE) in May 2009. EYCE is an European umbrella organisation for national ecumenical youth councils all over Europe and is led by the Executive Committee, which consists of seven volunteers from the member organisations

Hallo liebe Teilnehmer, ich höre auf den Namen Hauke P. und entstamme einem kleinen Örtchen zwischen Bremen und Hamburg namens Helvesiek. Wenn ich mich nicht verzählt habe, bin ich mittlerweile zwanzig Jahre alt und nach meinem Abitur im Jahr 2009 habe ich ein Selbstfindungjahr eingeschoben, das vorraussichtlich in diesem Herbst mit dem Beginn eines PPE-Studiums (Philosophy, Politics & Economics) in England oder Deutschland endet. Eines meiner größten Hobbies ist der Sport und im Rahmen dessen habe ich mich dem Engagement in der Deutschen Triathlonjugend verschrieben, wo wir die Vorteile unseres Sports an die Kinder und Jugendlichen dieses Landes herantragen möchten. Außerdem bekleide ich in zwei Sportvereinen das Amt des Pressesprechers, genauso wie auch in der Jugendorganisation der satirischen Partei "Die PARTEI". Generell beschäftige ich mich sehr gerne mit gesellschaftlichen Themen und freue mich auf einen spaßigen aber auch produktiven Austausch!

Mein Name ist Catharina C., ich bin 25 Jahre alt und wohne in Heidelberg, im Südwesten von Deutschland. Dort studiere ich evangelische Theologie im 8.Semester. Während meines Studiums habe ich ein Jahr lang in Dublin, Irland ökumenische Studien studiert.
Aufgewachsen bin ich im Nordwesten Deutschlands, in einer ländlichen Gegend zwischen Oldenburg und Osnabrück. Dort habe ich vor über zehn Jahren angefangen mich in der Evangelischen Jugend zu engagieren, zunächst auf regionaler Ebene, aber seit 2005 auch auf nationaler Ebene. Darüber hinaus bin ich seit Mai 2009 Vorstandsmitglied des Ökumenischen Jugendrates in Europa, einer Dachorganisation für nationale ökumenische Jugendräte in ganz Europa. Diese Organisation wird von sieben jungen Ehrenamtlichen aus den Mitgliedsorganisationen geleitet.

Mein Name ist Lena S.. Ich bin 19 Jahre alt und komme aus der nordhessischen Gemeinde Oberaula. Im Juni diesen Jahres habe ich mein Abitur an der Melanchthon-Schule Steinatal in Willingshausen nahe Schwalmstadt bestanden und werde im Oktober anfangen BWL und Französisch oder Mode-Textil Design zu studieren. In meiner Freizeit treibe ich gerne und oft Sport, wie z. B. Joggen und Tennis spielen, unternehme etwas mit Freunden oder hänge meiner Leidenschaft, der Mode, nach. Auf die Deutsch-Französisch-Chinesische Begegnung wurde ich über den Partnerschaftsverein Oberaula aufmerksam. Bereits seit einigen Jahren bin ich aktives Mitglied und helfe bei der Planung, Durchführung und Organisation von Austauschprogrammen mit unserer französischen Partnergemeinde Marsanne im Département de la Drôme in Südfrankreich. Im Rahmen dieser Programme habe ich selber bereits einige Male an Zeltlagern und Besuchen in Frankreich teilgenommen und viele sehr interessante Bekanntschaften mit jungen Menschen anderer Kulturen und Nationalitäten gemacht. Da ich diese Begegnungen sehr genossen habe, freue ich mich viele nette französische, chinesische und deutsche Jugendliche kennen zu lernen und mehr über die französische und chinesische Kultur zu erfahren.

My name is Lena S. I am 19 years old and I come from Oberaula which is a small village in the north of Hessen. I passed my A-levels at the Melanchthon-Schule Steinatal in Willingshausen near Schwalmstadt in June. In October I begin to study French and Business Studies or Fashion-Textile Design. In my free time i do a lot of sports like jogging or playing tennis, meet with friends or start to sew my first own clothes. Morevoer foreign languages and cultures are an important part of my life. Several years ago I became a member of the Partnerschaftsverein Oberaula which is an association that organises exchanges with our partner-village Marsanne in the South of France. The voluntary work in this association helped me discover my passion for French as a language and for other cultures. During the last years I took part in many camps and visits in Marsanne and got to know very interesting young people from other cultural backgrounds than mine. I would love it to learn more about the French and Chinese culture and I am looking forward to meeting friendly German, French an Chinese people in Melun and Berlin.

Hello all, my name is Kirsten. 23 years ago I was born in frosty Schönebeck, which is located at the Elbe. For this reason, I am a German participant in this German-French-Chinese youth exchange. I am studying psychology in my last year of undergraduate education. After graduating I will do a master in political psychology in Belfast/Northern Ireland. With this master I pursue doing research in Political Psychology in the future. The languages I speak are German, English, French and Chinese. I learnt French both in school and in the French-speaking Switzerland. Moreover, I gained basic knowledge in Chinese with autodidactic education and in Beijing. I am committed to the Amnesty International club in Göttingen and to the international work group among the scholarship holders of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung.

Hallo alle,
mein Name ist Kirsten. Vor 23 Jahren erblickte ich im frostigen Schönebeck an der Elbe das Licht der Welt. Ich bin also aus diesem Grund eine deutsche Teilnehmerin an diesem trinationalen Austausch. Ich studiere im letzten Semester im Bachelorstudiengang Psychologie. Nach meinem Abschluss als Bachelor of Science werde ich einen Master of Science in Politischer Psychologie in Belfast/Nordirland machen. Mit diesem Abschluss verfolge ich das Ziel, in der Politischen Psychologie zu forschen.
Die Sprachen, die ich spreche, sind Deutsch, Englisch, Französisch und Chinesisch. Die französische Sprache habe ich sowohl in der Schule als auch in der französischsprachigen Schweiz gelernt. Grundkenntnisse letzterer Sprache habe ich sowohl durch ein Selbststudium als auch vor Ort (in Beijing) erworben. Freiwillig engagiere ich mich bei der Hochschulgruppe Amnesty International in Göttingen und im internationalen Arbeitskreis der Stipendiaten der Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung.

Ich heiße Jennifer B. Ich bin 18 Jahre altund komme aus Bochum. Nächstes Jahr mache ich mein Abitur. Mit meiner Familie lebe ich in Bochum Grumme. Meine jüngere Schwester ist 11 Jahre alt. In meiner Freizeit treffe ich mich gerne mit Freunden, gehe zum Jazzdance ins Theater oder ins Kino und lese gerne. Ich mag ausländisches Essen, die Nachspeisen bevorzuge ich. My name is Saskia M. and I am 21 years old. From the time I had the course “English for children” in Kindergarden, I have shown enthusiasm for foreign languages. That is why I am studying for two years now “European Studies: Language, literature, culture” with the main languages Spanish and French and the subsidiary subject business studies at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. I took this course because the main focus is on the treatment of intercultural aspects and because I have the possibility to spend one semester abroad in France. Through one of my favourite books -“The Chinese” by Henning Mankell- I became interested in the Chinese culture and language and that is why I have already studied it for a year. As I started to organize the weekly group sessions with the younger servers of our parish at the age of 15, youth work plays an important role in my free time. Moreover, I am engaged in the organization of a yearly holiday camp and some other activities in the youth group. I am an adventurous and open-minded person and I like travelling and doing sports like inline-skating or swimming. Also, music is very important to me; I was playing the flute in an orchestra for many years and I am into going to festivals and concerts of all kinds. As I appreciate cultural exchange, I am looking forward to participating in the German-French-Chinese congress.

Mein Name ist Saskia M. und ich bin 21 Jahre alt. Schon seitdem ich im Kindergarten den Kurs „English for Children“ besuchte, begeistern mich Fremdsprachen. Deshalb studiere ich seit 2008 im Bachelor „Europastudien: Sprache, Literatur, Kultur“ mit den Hauptsprachen Spanisch und Französisch und Nebenfach BWL an der katholischen Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. Ich habe mich für diesen Studiengang entschieden, da hier besonderen Wert auf die Behandlung interkultureller Themen gelegt wird und ich die Möglichkeit habe, ab September ein Semester in Frankreich zu studieren. Mit einem meiner Lieblingsbücher - „Der Chinese“ von Henning Mankell- begann mein Interesse für die chinesische Kultur und Sprache, weshalb ich diese nun seit einem Jahr lerne. In meiner Freizeit spielt die Jugendarbeit eine große Rolle, da ich mit 15 Jahren begann, die Gruppenstunden für die jüngeren Ministranten in unserer Pfarrei zu leiten. In meiner Jugendgruppe beteilige ich mich außerdem jedes Jahr an der Organisation eines Kinderferienlagers und anderer Aktionen. Ich bin ein unternehmungslustiger, aufgeschlossener Mensch, verreise gern und gehe oft Inlineskaten oder Schwimmen. Auch Musik ist mir sehr wichtig; ich spielte viele Jahre lang in einem Orchester Querflöte und gehe gerne auf Festivals und Konzerte jeder Art. Da ich den kulturellen Austausch sehr gut finde, freue ich mich, an der deutsch-französisch-chinesischen Begegnung teilnehmen zu können.

Borne January 27th 1991 in Aachen, I lived with my family for the following two years in Hergenrath, Belgium. Hereupon we moved to Nindorf, located in the west of Hamburg, Germany, where I have been living up to now. I am in year 13 attending Rudolf Steiner Schule Hamburg-Harburg and will finish school presumably by 11-06-2011. Hereunto I want to do a year of social work in a foreign country (if possible in France), as an alternative to the military service (which is an obligation in Germany). My hobbies are sailing, biking and swimming, whereas aeronautics is my passion. My career aspiration is to become a commercial airline pilot. I like to read a lot, whereat I rather like novels, historic documentations and Books written based on true events. I like to listen to pretty much any kind of music, however, I don´t like Rap, Techno and heavy Metal.

Am 27.01.1991 in Aachen geboren, lebte ich zunächst mit meiner Familie für zwei Jahre in Hergenrath, Belgien. Von dort zogen wir nach Nindorf, westlich von Hamburg, wo ich bis heute wohne.
Ich gehe in die 13. Klasse der Rudolf Steiner Schule Hamburg-Harburg und werde voraussichtlich am 11.06.2011 die Schule beenden. Hieraufhin möchte ich einen sozialen Dienst im Ausland (Frankreich), als Ersatz für den Dienst an der Waffe, antreten.
Das Wassersegeln, Fahrradfahrern und Schwimmen sind meine Hobbys, wobei meine große Leidenschaft die Luft- und Raumfahrt ist. Mein Berufswunsch ist Berufspilot zu werden.
Ich lese sehr gerne, wobei ich Romane, geschichtliche Dokumentationen und Bücher nach wahren Begebenheiten anderen vorziehe. Auch höre ich gerne Musik, wobei ich vieles außer Rap, Techno und heavy Metal höre.

Ich heiße Leonie von P. und bin 18 Jahre alt. Ich wohne mit meinen Eltern und meinen beiden Brüdern in Bochum. Zur Zeit besuche ich ein Gymnasium in Bochum und werde dieses im Sommer 2011 mit dem Abitur verlassen. Meine Leistungskurse sind Geschichte und Englisch und mein Studienwunsch ist „Global Economics and Management“. In meiner Freizeit mache ich gerne Sport und lese viel. Ich bin Cotrainer einer C- Jugend Fußballmannschaft. Außerdem bin ich Jugendmitarbeiter der evangelischen Kirche.
